Our hearts and prayers are with all the families, friends, and churches.
In Maraland’s heart, where echoes gently reside,
A tapestry of missionaries, with love as their guide.
From London’s warm embrace, they embarked on a quest,
Becoming villagers, in the unknown’s tender nest.
Oh, missionaries, Londoners brave and bold,
In Maraland’s jungle, their sagas beautifully unfold.
Reverend Lorrain, a shepherd wise and kind,
Left London’s tender embrace, to where the unknown entwined.
A voyage across the vast Indian Ocean’s expanse,
In 1907, they embraced the unknown’s sweet dance.
RA Lorrain and Maud, hearts forever entwined,
In Maraland’s tender embrace, their love forever enshrined.
For Jesus and GOD’s Kingdom, they surrendered all,
Becoming villagers, answering the divine call.
Eating the same, breathing as one,
With Maraland’s children, beneath the same sun.
In the jungle’s gentle embrace, for generations they stood,
RA Lorrain, documenting the greater good.
Their sacrifice sowed seeds, love’s eternal bloom,
In Maraland’s tender embrace, now Emmanuel’s room.
Headhunters transformed into soul winners, a divine decree,
Hope blossomed in the hopeless, a sacred melody.
Fears swept away in the tender embrace of GOD’s love,
In Maraland’s heart, peace descended from above.
Sorrow transformed into joy, a melody so sweet,
Death’s defeat, resurrection’s heartbeat.
Oh, missionaries, humble servants of Christ,
Your tears, treasures in the Kingdom’s eternal tryst.
Each drop of sweat, fruits of a sacred tree,
In Maraland’s tender embrace, a legacy forever free.
From grandparents’ sacrifice to yours, so grand,
Rewards on earth and in heaven’s promised land.
Glorious missionaries, unforgettable and true,
A day awaits when we’ll reunite with you.
In heaven’s tender embrace, a glorious day’s birth,
Until then, in HIS service, farewell from earth.
