On this auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Festival of Lights against darkness, I extend warm wishes to everyone celebrating this profound festival, especially to the Myanmar Hindu Community. They, along with all minority brothers and sisters, have endured prolonged suffering under the brutal reign of terror imposed by genocidal military dictatorships.

Diwali, symbolising the triumph of good over evil, resonates deeply with our collective struggle. We, the people of Myanmar, are determined to overcome the evils of the genocidal military junta. The darkness of hopelessness will yield to the light of hope; the darkness of injustice will succumb to the lights of justice, and the oppressive darkness of brutal tyranny will be dispelled by the lights of freedom. The shadows cast by the genocidal military junta will be replaced by the luminosity of federal democracy.

The darkness of atrocities and violence will soon be vanquished by the radiant lights of peace and prosperity, not only for Myanmar but for the entire region and the world, creating a better place for all. May the lights of love and peace illuminate our homes and hearts, fostering kindness and compassion. May the lights of strength and wisdom empower us to combat the darkness of death and destruction.

May the brilliance of Diwali continue to guide us, instilling hope and harmony. May the lights of Diwali unite us for a brighter and prosperous future. May these lights shine within us, eradicating darkness once and for all, and making the world a better place for ALL.
