We Will Win, We Will Prevail

(A poem for the children of Myanmar)

Today sees the struggle tween light and dark, fear not child, together light, shall win;

Today sees the struggle tween justice and injustice, fear not child, together just, shall win;

Today sees the struggle tween good and evil, fear not child, together good, shall win; 

Today sees the struggle tween peace and terror, fear not child, together peaceful, shall prevail;

Today sees the struggle tween freedom and tyranny, fear not child, together free, shall prevail;

Today sees the struggle tween life and death, fear not child, together life, shall prevail;

Today sees the struggle tween hope and hopelessness, fear not child, together hopeful, shall succeed;

Today sees the struggle tween unity and division, fear not child, together united, shall succeed;

Today sees the struggle tween love and hatred, fear not child, together loving, shall succeed;

Today sees the struggle tween federal democracy and military dictatorship, fear not child, together federal democracy, shall prevail;

Together, we prevail, together we win!
