Thantlang, and indeed all of Chin State, Myanmar is under massive attack by the forces of the terrorist military junta calling itself the ‘SAC’, and is greatly in need of your prayers and urgent material support. I am shocked by the sheer level of brutality and cruel disregard for humanity on display by the junta forces who as we speak are slaughtering innocent, peace loving civilians; damaging, burning, and looting their homes; and cutting off their access to food, medicine, and other basic necessities.

Chin State has been subjected to an extreme campaign of violence and terror by the genocidal military terrorists as a result of the bloody coup. This is not due to any wrong doing on the part of the people of Chin State. Rather, this is happening because the brave people of Chin State have stood strong in their struggle for their freedom, democracy, faith and rights. This all-out assault on innocent civilians with heavy battlefield weapons clearly demonstrates that this abhorrent and inhumane military junta will stop at absolutely nothing in in their obsessive quest to destroy our values and our prospects of freedom and federal democracy. But in this quest they will fail, again and again, and every time they try to deprive the people of their rights and liberties because these are values for which we are determined to fight to our last breath. As these brutalities continue however, more and more innocent lives are needlessly lost, and without the support and intervention of the international community, the fires lit in Chin state by the murderous military regime will engulf the entire nation.

The junta seeks to reduce our brave people and beautiful country to ashes – but we must not allow this to happen. The international community must not let this happen. The international community must take immediate and decisive action to cut off the junta’s access to money, financial services, fuel, weapons and ammunition, and most of all, international legitimacy. It is these which enable the junta to continue slaughtering innocent civilians and razing the nation. Words will have zero effect, as has been proven time and time again. The only thing the junta understands is action – and immediate impactful action is what we need from the international community to put an end to this horrible genocide.

I am attaching photos taken today in Thantlang, Chin State, of the atrocities committed by these terrorist junta forces, that show nearly the entire town engulfed in flames. Currently, over 100 buildings including civilian homes, places of worship, and businesses have been burned to the ground, and hundreds have been displaced and are hiding in the jungle with no shelter and no resources.

Let us be clear: no matter what these terrorists do, we will ultimately win, and from the ashes will rise the New Myanmar bringing with her democratic freedom, peace and prosperity, where all traces of the brutal dictatorship will be eradicated once and for ALL. We will realise our dreams, will achieve self-determination and freedom for ALL the people of Myanmar. Stay strong. We will win!
