Our hearts and prayers go out today for the grief and devastation recently caused by multiple tornados across the eastern United States. At this moment, we have head that the death toll nears 100 and is expected to climb in the coming days as the wreckage of homes, businesses and lives are accounted for. In moments of tragic devastation like these, we call our comforter, the Almighty GOD to bring comfort and peace to all mourning hearts.

Our prayers and thoughts are also with the governors in the states of Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Missouri, along with President Biden and the people of the United States of America as a difficult task of rebuilding is ahead. In these very difficult times, our prayers, thoughts, and condolences are especially with the families and friends of those lost and those still to be found.

The way the first responders in the United States have presented themselves in this time of need, and in many times of need in the past, has always been a shining beacon not only to the United States but to the world, and we owe our thanks to them beyond measure.

On behalf of the people of Myanmar we send our love and prayers, for even though we are facing great troubles and danger at home, this does not diminish or invalidate pain faced by others. Each is equal in its own way and can only be healed by the community coming together. So I request that all Myanmar add their own thoughts and prayers today for the pain faced by the victims of these tragic disasters abroad.

Sincerely,

H.E. Dr. Sasa
