Dear friends, compatriots, and allies, I want to thank you for your generous support up until now. I call upon you once more out of our great need for a task which should only take one minute. A great opportunity and duty has arisen that requires the action of everyone who is a supporter of federal democracy, self-determination, and freedom from the cruel military dictatorship in Myanmar; the “Burma Act” is being submitted to the US Congress this week, and it is extremely important that we do everything in our power to help this bill to pass. Our goal is to see the end of military dictatorships, authoritarianism and to start the building of inclusive federal democratic union of Myanmar for ALL the people of Myanmar. To do this, we need America’s influence and help to achieve this goal, and we ALL must work together to end this brutal reign of terror against the people of Myanmar and set our people free as soon as possible and build the new Myanmar of federal democratic Union.

How can you help specifically?

Firstly, to our friends in the United States of America, especially the Burmese-U.S. citizens in the diaspora and all the American allies of Myanmar, as U.S. citizens, we need YOU to let your respective Senators and your Representatives know that YOU want them to support the people of Myanmar (Burma) in their struggle for freedom and democracy, to help set the people of Myanmar, who have suffered so much for so long, free from this unspeakable pain, suffering, death and destruction exercised by the cruel military dictators in Myanmar.

How do you do this?

By giving your name and address to organizations such as the ‘Grassroots Movement for Burma,’ among others. It will take about 1 minute of your time, and the Grassroots Movement for Burma will do the rest. There are many other organizations doing this same thing, so please do support them as well. Please ask your community leaders if you have specific questions in this regard.

Why is this needed?

Many lobbyists in Washington DC are telling us that our Senators and Representatives do not know us because we do not give our names to raise our voice for the people of Myanmar in this darkest moment of our history.

That is why we need:

– YOU to ‘raise your hand’ and please tell your respective Senators and Representatives that ‘YOU are here’ raising your voice for the people of Burma/Myanmar who are the voiceless and silenced by the brutal reign of terror of the military dictators.

– YOU to ‘raise your hand’ for the people of Burma/Myanmar who cannot raise their hands, because their hands are being tied up with heavy battlefields weapons that are being discharged to their village, community, homes, towns, and cities across the nation.

– YOU to ‘raise your hand’ to your respective Senators and Representatives and please tell them that you cannot take it anymore as the people of Myanmar (Burma) are being tortured, abused, brutalized,

murdered every day. Please tell them that ‘enough is enough,’ to this inhumanity, barbarity, crimes against humanity against the people of Myanmar.

– YOU to ‘raise your hand’ and please let your community leaders know that we MUST work together as a team. We must win over this darkness and defeat this cruel military dictatorship in Myanmar once and for all.

– YOU to raise your hand to call on US and world leaders NOT to recognise the military junta regime in Myanmar;

– YOU to raise your hand to urge the USA and world leaders to increase diplomatic relations with the people’s government, the NUG and all the allied movements

– YOU to ‘raise your hand’ because this is a long fight that, despite the odds, we will surely win. We have no other option but to win. Our destiny, and that of our children, grandchildren, many generations to come hinges on this victory over the brutal military dictatorships in Myanmar.

Again, the Burma Act is being submitted to the Congress of the United States this week, so it is of the utmost importance that YOU give your name, raise your hands and voice NOW to help your fellow compatriots, friends, and family in Myanmar. Together, we will win.

If you are not American?

Please help us by calling upon your representatives, members of Parliament and your respective governments to pass similar acts against this brutal military dictatorship in Myanmar. The freedom of our beautiful nation of Myanmar requires the work of people like you. You will be a hero both for my people and country. Thank you once again for your solidarity and action. May God bless you and may God bless Myanmar!

Sincerely,

H.E. Dr. Sasa
