Even before the formation of the Ministry of International Cooperation, we have been engaged in humanitarian activities and aid across the country to places most urgently in need. Once the MOIC was officially founded, we further expanded and developed these humanitarian operations under the Department of Humanitarian, and Emergency Response Cooperation, working together with relevant Ministries, INGOs NGOs, CSOs, EHOs, and other public and private stakeholders. It has now been over six months since our first ‘official’ undercover humanitarian mission, and we want the public to now be aware of our activities, in the hope that it will provide extra strength, encouragement, and awareness, and enable both local and foreign donors to further support our ongoing relief efforts.

Since May 1st, together with our local and international partners, we have secured, facilitated and distributed  over 70 tons of food to remote and hardest hit areas in Kayah, Chin, Kachin, Karen and Shan States, in addition to Sagaing, Mandalay and Tanintharyi regions, and IDP camps along the borders of Myanmar. Our support has been for that of the IDPs, and has included everything from food, baby formula, medicines and medical supplies, basic necessities, hygiene supplies, oxygen equipment and supplies, shelter supplies, and other basic items as needed. Until now we have kept these operations carefully concealed so as to limit the risk to our brave partners, staff, volunteers, and logistics partners on the ground, and we will continue to keep the details of this information under lock and key until after the coup.

Below are a some photos that we have censored for security reasons:

Again, I want to thank each and everyone one of you who has supported in some way or another, partnered with us despite the inherent risk, and made it possible to save thousands of lives. We will never stop supporting our people both on the international stage, and practically on the ground as much as we possibly can. Together, we will indeed win this struggle against the evil despots and their terrorist thugs.

Sincerely,

H.E. Dr. Sasa
Union Minister of Ministry of International Cooperation
Spoke Person of Nation Unity Government
Former Special Envoy to United Nations
