URGENT REQUEST FOR EMERGENCY HUMANITARIAN AID AND MILITARY ASSISTANCE TO THE PEOPLE OF MYANMAR

To The International Communities:

Please provide humanitarian aid via air drops to Myanmar refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, and also to the People’s Defense Forces via air drops in Demoso, and other parts of Kayah State where the tatmadaw is using heavy battle equipment and shelling civilians in their homes and churches; Chin State; Sagaing Division; Karen State; Kachin State; and Shan State where citizens and PDF forces have been fighting off junta terrorist forces with mostly homemade and captured weapons, and are hiding in the forest. Hundreds of thousands of civilians have been forced to flee their homes, and many have been injured in the clashes. Additionally, please help pressure the UN to send UN peacekeeping troops to Myanmar to assist the counter-terrorist efforts of the people.

Please also send military, strategic, and technical and logistical support to the National Unity Government, and the People’s Defense Forces, so our brave citizen resistance personnel can weed out and forever end the reign of this repressive military regime. 54 million people want true democracy and freedom from tyranny, against less than 300,000 terrorist forces. However, we need proper weapons, humanitarian aid, and relief supplies to win this fight.

If the International Community refuses to act immediately, tens of thousands of innocent civilians, including people of every ethnicity, religion, and social status will be displaced, detained, tortured, and cruelly murdered in cold blood.

Finally, please pressure neighboring countries like Thailand and India to accept Myanmar refugees, and allow the free flow of relief supplies into the country to support our brave people. We will forever remain an ally, partner, and friend of those who help us in this our darkest hour.

Thank you,

H.E. Dr. Sasa
Union Minister of the Ministry of International Cooperation & NUG Spokesperson
